Sandridge – Utah

This collaborative delivery project with the Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) involved complex underground utility work beneath a major highway, utilizing both open-cut and trenchless methodologies to minimize disruption to critical infrastructure.

Challenges

  • Variable soil conditions that changed throughout the project area
  • Unexpected discovery of reinforced concrete structures and rebar
  • Necessity to maintain uninterrupted traffic flow on major roadways

Solutions & Approach

  • Implemented 11 specialized bores using five different methodologies to adapt to site-specific conditions
  • Conducted night shift operations to safely clear debris and perform critical work during low-traffic periods
  • Leveraged BT’s extensive expertise to maintain flexibility throughout the project
